Thread: Should I start my birth control after Plan B?

I had a mishap with my boyfriend a week ago exactly and I took plan B an hour after we realized our protection failed. My doctor wants me to start on birth control (Marvelon) due to constant ovarian cysts and irregular bleeding. I started spotting today .. well at least I think so. This is around the time of my expected period and I don't know whether to treat it as spotting or my period because once I get my period I'm supposed to start the pill on the Sunday .. aka TOMORROW.

My doctor is away and the pharmacist was no help at all when I picked up my medication, can someone PLEASE help me?!
