okay, so i just started a new pack of loestrin 24 fe a month ago, after switching from ortho tricyclen. if there is anyone who's had experience with this pill, is it normal to miss a period the first month while on this pill? i'm still waiting for my period (i am on day 3 of my placebo pack). i know that loestrin is supposed to give shorter lighter periods, but I'm just a little nervous about this here. im not used to missing periods with birth control pills!!

I switched from Brenda to Yaz and currently at this point i am stressing too. I am also on my 3rd placebo day. I read on the information inside my yaz pack that its sometimes normal for you to miss a period even after taking all the pills but it did mention that if it happens 2 periods in a row thats when you should seek medical advice. Im not sure if this is different with different types of pills

I'm about to start my 3rd pack of pills....still no period. took three pregnancy tests (2 home and 1 at the MD's office).....all said negative. havent had sex in almost 2 months cuz i've been so freaked out by it. what should i do next?? has anyone else had this same issue???

if the tests are negative you're not pregnant....maybe the pill you've switched to is either too weak or too strong....how many periods have you missed?

I've been on Yaz since it was available two years ago, and my period doesn't usually start until the last placebo pill. I have some issues with anxiety, so that tends to prevent the coming of my period until the very last day. Usually, stress can make it late, at least that's what I have been through. I wouldn't start worrying until you've missed at least two periods, because changing your birth control can leave your body in a crazy mess for a little bit. Good luck!

yeah my body is acting up at the moment because im supposed to be on my period but i skipped it this month and my body is reacting thinking it should be having a period whereas last month i didnt start my period till the last placebo pill....very strange but yeah....

...well, ive now missed 3 periods while on this loestrin stuff. switching to ortho-lo now cuz i just cannot deal wit having no periods!! Took 4 pregnancy tests (3 at home, 1 at the MD's office)... still negative. call my MD and she told me that it's normal to miss a period while on the pill, but if it continues to be bothersome, we can switch to somethin different. i was like, yeah plz cuz i dnt know if missing 3 periods in a row is normal!!! im still worried bout this here though!! anyone else missed more than 2-3 periods in a row while on any type of pill?? if so what did you do???
