I have a 10 month old son and have been on some form of BC since he was about 8 weeks. First, i had an IUD, that didn't work out so i went on seasonale. Last month i stopped taking it and had a period during the first week of last month. I havent had a period this month yet, and the time has come and gone. I took a pregnancy test just to make sure, and it was negative, and i'm sure i'm not pregnant. I was just wondering if any of you have taken seasonale and know how lt took for you cycle to regulate after you stopped. I'm really concernd about this so any info is greatly appreciated. thank you in advance.

There are a couple of things to take into consideration. First off, all during pregnancy and several months after birth, a woman's hormones will fluctuate a LOT. These fluctuations can cause irregular periods. Changing, starting, or stopping birth control will also cause fluctuations in hormones and cause irregular periods. You have to give your body time to balance out all the changes. So I wouldn't be surprised to have late periods and things of that nature. Stress can also cause that too.

Of course, it's ALWAYS possible for a woman to be pregnant no matter what birth control she is taking because NONE OF THEM are 100% sure. Most likely, it is just a hormonal thing, but it's always best to get a pregnancy test or two when in doubt.
