Question Missed on OTC-Lo, month long period?

Well, I've been on Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo since November of last year and on April 2nd and 3rd i had forgotten my pills.. They had been the few active pills before my placebos. On the 5th i ended up getting my period [which was 4 days earlier than normal, you can guess why.]

I had noticed the missed pills on the 4th [which was a Saturday] so i went to my local pharmacist and she recommended i start a new pack because i wasn't sure what to do being the circumstances of it being the 3rd week [if that makes sense].

Well, my period hasn't exactly stopped. It's been over a month and it's not a flow [well, sorta is at the moment].. It's been more or less spotting and super light red. There will be days the brown discharge is there and then like, a couple days a week a tampon was a bit necessary.

I've got 4 more days till i start my placebos and i skipped my last placebos seeing as my period was already present and i thought it'd be going away but as of the past few days, it's been getting to a light/medium flow and i've been slightly crampy..

I had contacted my gyno about 3/4 weeks into things since i was concerned and she says that it will be like this for a bit. Will it? I want this to go away.. I'm not enjoying cramping and continuing to bleed.

Can having sex being affecting it in any way? Yes, weird question, but i'm so confused. How long? Can this pill just not be for me? Any advice or experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advanced (:

Neaky, you stopped and started with your body it's totally out of wack and confused.

Starting the pill all over again, instead of letting that cycle finish and go back to normal, in-other-words, confused your body, it's not sure if it's Arthur or Matha..

Then if I am right, you then skipped 4, basically in hope that the periods would stop therefore, again confusing the body.

So in my opinion, yes, it will for a bit, because it's not in a consistancy... Take the pills when you are meant to, not when you are not meant to and let your body get back used to what it was doing..

As for having sex? Well your body is confused, I would definately use a Condom at present irrespective.
