I've been using the nuvaring for nearly 2 years now and I am very happy with it, no problems or anything, but I've noticed something recently. In the past few months, I've noticed that in the crotch area of my panties, there are holes forming. It's like I'm slowly burning holes into my panties. It sounds funny and I've laughed at this myself but has this happened to anyone else? Is this a change in pH or something?

I definately have not heard of this. Don't take offense to this, but are you sure you don't have mice or moths in your house or something that might put holes in them? Or is it just that they are old and starting to wear? Maybe it is a ph balance thing, but I have never heard of anything like that. I honestly have no idea what to tell you on this one. I suppose ask your doctor?

My aunt had something simular to this with the Depo shot. She said her body was producing an "acid" period instead of blood. Go talk to your doctor.

I've been on nuva for a long time too, but this has never happened to me. Go ask your doctor.
