I'm 22, and have been on the same birth control pills for four years. I studied abroad, and once I got home my boyfriend and I picked up our sex-life where it had left off. He is very well endowed (think XL condoms) and I've started bleeding after sex, but it doesn't hurt at all and usually goes away quickly. I'm due to have my period next week, but I started bleeding after sex today, about the same amount that I'd have during a period, and am forced to start using tampons.

Could his size be the reason that I'm bleeding early? I've read that hormone pills can affect the thickness of the uteran lining, and I'm also on thyroid hormones. So, maybe it's possible that he started things with his 'poking around'....I'm just a little nervous, and would like other women's opinions. My nurse practicioner said that if things weren't painful that I shouldn't worry too much. Any thoughts? Thank you!

I have read that the pills make the thickness thinner...and some women can bleed because of this...i wouldnt worry too much unless it gets painful or there's too much blood. Im no doctor so dont take my word for it lol but 4 years on the same pill might be why its happening and the fact that there was a period of absence....anyways lets hear what other ladies have to say...
