Thread: Thrush

Last year I was on the pill and was suffering terrible side effects. I had a major hormone imbalance and was a really irritable person to be around because of it. One of my side effects was thrush.

My doctor treated me for the thrush and I had a Mirena IUD put in March. For the first few months- it was great. I only had spotting for the first two weeks and after that I had regular periods. Until this last month- I've had a thick brown discharge which lasts a few days at a time.. and it's happened 3 times in the past month. My skin has been breaking out like crazy when this happens.

I'm wondering if this is possibly thrush which has been discoloured due to the Mirena? Has anybody else expierenced this?

I have gotten some brown discharge, right around the time that I would usually get my period. It doesnt happen 3 times in a month for me though...My skin does break out a little, but I always just attribute it to having my "period" since it usually happened before I got a Mirena.
