So My doctor said try it for a month, put it in the day you start your period and no back-up is needed. I read the same thing in the reading packet that came with it. Well, I always have brown dischargge for a week before I actually start. So, I put it in on the day I really thought was my 1st actual day. I had unprotected sex twice that month. I was also had a lot (too much) of side effects, just like I do with the pill or shot, and so when it was time to put in the new one for the next month I decided not to. I never did get my period. Its almost 6 days late. Not normal. I'm afraid I waited to long to put it in. The reading material does say that if it is not put in by the 3rd day of your period to use back up for the 1st month.
I would love to get some feedback from some of you. You think I screwed up, or is there someone out there who didn't get there period back for a while after stopping Nuva?

Im on the Nuva Ring, and what they told me was to put it in, and then you had to wait 10 days before having unprotected sex. However, what myself and some friends of mine have found is that it takes a few days after taking it out for your period to come (example, I take mine out on Sunday evening, nothing happens until exactly Thursday morning). Maybe your body is just taking a bit longer?

Yeah, lets hope that's it...just taking longer....I took it out on the 29th!!! And there isn't a new one in that would keep my period from coming....ugh.
