    Default Injection/abnormal bleeding?

I have been on the injection since August last year and since then Ive had a lot of abnormal bleeding which was normal at first of course, but its not stopped at all. I have been for check ups and nothing has been found and also when speaking to nurses at family planning they have said 'oh it's normal it'll go away' but it really hasn't. Has anyone else experienced any similar problems/know what is causing them because I am sick of not being able to not have sex anymore!

If you are talking about depo it is normal to have spotting almost all of the time, this is supposed to go away after a year, but it might not. The key is to get the first depo shot right when your period begins. I constantly spotted and so I went off of Depo and onto the pill for two months, then on the first day of my period on the third month I got another depo shot the spotting completely stopped while I was on depo after that.

I have stopped taking it now because the hormones are way stronger than I needed but when it is time for your next shot you could try the pill for a few months instead and then go back on and see if that works- everyone is different though so it could be a wash.

Thankyou for that yes it was the depo.
I am getting sick of it so I might go back onto the pill again, do you know roughly how longish it will take me before the bleeding stops once I have gone off the injection?
