I have had problem after problem with the pill, I have been on it for 6 years and recently came off, now my boyfriend hates using condoms and has stopped sex altogether so I need a few ideas of what to use.

I have tried all the pills on the market and they do not agree with me, I have tried to Nuva ring and got infection after infection.

Condoms irriate me and make me feel sore and my boyfriend hates them

I am only 24 or don't really want to get the coil thing

Any other ideas? Does the injection have any side affrects?

    Thanks for your help

Depo Provera does have some serious side affects, primarily bone loss. My wife took injections for 5 years, 98-03, and was recently diagnosed with severe Osteoporosis and she's only in her late 30's. She has a Z score of minus 3.1 and must take Forteo injections daily at about $900 a month. She's been down a horrible road with BC pills and injections...

Don't give up on condoms, IMHO, they are much safer. Lube, lube and more lube...

Just my male opinion, worth price charged....

I should also say, she suffered with Endometriosis and Ovarian and Cervical Cysts, which resulted in a complete hystorectomy when she was 29. She was taking some pretty high dose BC, so her case is more on the extreme side...not trying to scare you, just make sure you understand the risks....

I was off birth control for years and had some problems with the Nuvaring, but if you take acidophilus caplets while it's in, it seems to stop the infections....and it's so nice not to have to worry about whether you took your bc pill at the right time.
