Length to be on the patch for it to be completely effective.
Just wondering because I heard that you need to be on the pill for 3 months for it to be at its peak effectiveness.

The pill is effective as of the amount of time listed on the details that come with the medicine. Usually 7 days. I would assume that the patch takes the same amount of time, but check your packaging.
The company that makes the pill does not want you to get pregnant. Pregnant people don't buy contraceptive pharmaceuticals ... so even if you don't trust the people behind the medicine, trust that they want their pockets lined with cash.
I just started using the patch and i'm on my 2nd week of month two.
I've been experiencing some weird things and wanted to know what i can do, and if they are related to my patch.
I've been feeling nausea after eating or consuming anything solid.
I've felt weird feelings after being intimate.I've also had extreme temper and emotional rollercoastering, is it possible this is related to my patch? Should i stop taking it ? OR should i just wait it out for 3 months since it is the usual... waiting period.

Birth control of any sort messes with your system. They sound like normal reactions to me. I'd say wait three months, which is the normal "trial" period for new birth controls. If your system hasn't settled down by then, go see your doctor. I know when my doctor was experimenting with different methods with me, she told me that nausea and mood swings are normal side affects. Right up there with weight gain. >,< It's also better to talk to your doctor again before coming off of the patch. If you have adverse reactions to it, s/he should know before you think about switching to an alternate method, anyway. Or, if you decide not to continue using BC because of the way it affected your body, your doctor would probably prefer to monitor you to see if the problems continue affecting you.
