Thread: Tri-Sprintec vs. Ortho tricyclin-lo

Ive been using ortho tricyclin-lo for about 2 years now with no problems, i absolutely love it and have no side effects. But recently because of insurance reasons i had to switch to Tri-Sprintec which is supposedly the generic of ortho tricyclin-lo. Since ive switched ive been having horrible headaches that have been getting progressively worse by the day. I was wondering if anyone else has had a bad experience with tri-sprintec?
This is driving me crazy, i can barely work cause my head hurts so much, and im begining to feel weaker than usual. I really hope that there is some way i can switch back to ortho tricyclin-lo!

I take Tri-sprintec. As far as I knew, it was the generic to Ortho TriCyclen, not the Lo version, which my doctor said didn't have a generic. Obviously, there are more hormones in the regular version, which could explain your headaches.
I don't have a problem with the regular version any more than I did with Lo, but my body needed the extra hormones. Yours probably doesn't.
