Desogen
Hi,
I started taking Desogen (desogestrel and ethinyl estradiol) tablets 8 days ago. The Pharmacist mentioned that I could have mood swings while taking this. The last couple of days I have been very emotional: crying, feeling broken, just depressed in certain situations. I'm wondering if this is the side effect or if I could be affected after just 8 days?

Your body is freaking out because of the newly introduced hormones into your system.
have you been on any kind of bc before starting this? if not, it can sometimes take MONTHS for these icky symptoms and spotting to go away.
Give it a good three months for your body to be completely adjusted to your new pills. you just have to be patient and learn to relax for a while. of course your can always call your doctor/clinic nurse if you have any questions or if you feel that your symptoms are too severe for you to handle or are getting out of control.
