I have been using NuvaRing for 3 years with no problems. I love it actually. However , I am having an issue with one of the side effects , just because its a rather vague description. So anyone else who has been using this for a longer amount of time , might be able to help me .

All the pamphlets and whatnot list " changes in menstral cycle " as a clear side effect. I already know that it helps with cramps and after time , the "delay" from when I take the ring out until I get my period has increased to be almost a whole week. My doctor says that is fine. I was curious if anyone else noticed that their flow has gotten lighter over time ?

Its beginning to stress me out a little bit. I chose this birthcontrol so I wasnt on a pill but so I could still have my period every month . I have a rather active sex life and the last few monthes have found myself freaking out a little bit when it takes so long to get a flow and then its practically nothing. I have actually ended up buying pregnancy tests ... "just to be sure" . I was hoping someone on here might be able to tell me if they had a similar expierence or not. Otherwise I like my birthcontrol very much , and use it correctly.
