I have been taking my birth control pills at the same time for four years now - 9:00 PM. I was previously on Yasmin for a couple of years and now have been on Loestrin for a year, but again always at the same time. My husband and I are traveling from Michigan to Paris France in October which will be a six hour time difference which would mean I would have to take my pills at 2:00 am Paris time to keep the same schedule. Not likely to happen. I will be having my period the first couple of days I am in Paris, so I will be on the placebo pills and don't need to worry about it. But then I will start a new pack about three days into my trip (I always start my new pack the Sunday after my period starts). Can I start the new pack at a different time since it is a new pack, or will that mess things up? I figured I could just start the new pack at 11:00 pm Paris Time (which is 5:00 pm Michigan time) and then continue to take the rest of the month at 5:00 pm Michigan time when I get home to keep the times together. Can I do that without risking a pregnancy? Also, after that month is up and I start yet another pack can I then change it back again to 9:00 pm Michigan time? So confusing!!? I guess I just need to know if you can change the time of taking your pill from month to month as long as you do it at the start of a new pack and keep consistent with the chosen time during that month. I just need to change it for the one month. Thanks for your help. Sorry about the crazy time zone business!
