Default The Pill

This question is to try put my friends mind at ease [I hope]

If a women is on her period but continues to take the pill throughout, will she get pregnant if she has sex without any other method of protection.

The pill should still be effective. I'm not sure if you are talking about skipping the break week or simply having the period out of sync with her pill schedule, but either way, the pill is still an effective method of birth control.
