Ok we all know smoking on BC is bad but I cant find any info on occasional smoking. All the studies im seeing are on people who are 35 and older and smoke a LOT, as in people who smoke all day every day. The main study im seeing is with women over 35 who smoke 25 cigarettes a day, I dont know ANYONE who smokes that much. I know it increases your risk but if you only smoke on occasion, say a few cigarettes Friday and Saturday night while out at the bar is this really a big deal? I know the box says not to smoke due to the risks but like I said all the studies were done with people who smoke a LOT not just occasional/social smoking during weekends, not even all day just at night while out. So does anyone know about this? I meant to ask my doctor but completly forgot.

Modern tobacco has been played with to make more addictive. Why play with fire this way? Just leave the stuff alone.

I was a smoker for several years and on birth control. While I knew the dangers....well, we all struggle with addiction.
Everything in moderation, I always say. If you have a smoke at the bar on the weekend and it's just one or two...meh, I don't think it's too bad as far as BC is concerned. But of course, everyone is different. I also think that being active plays a huge roll in that. Get lots of exercise, limit smoking (better yet don't smoke, but I understand) And keep an eye on how your body feels. I always felt like BC made my legs feel tight. I hated it. Now that I'm off and exercising regularly, I feel great.
