    Hi,

I just started taking the pill for the first time and i was prescribed Microgynon 30. I started taking it on the first day of my period, as i was instructed to by my doctor and the notes in the leaflet that came with the pack.
Anyway, i am now 9 days in to taking it and I'm STILL on my period. For the past 3 days it has been very light though and today it's a brownier colour than before, I really hope this means I am coming to the end! (my periods usually last 4-5 days)

Am i abnormal? haha. I am starting to get a little worried now..

    Thanks!

Starting out birth control can be a little rocky and unstable. You are altering your bodies natural hormone levels. This directly effects your periods and can cause them to be irregular and unpredictable. It's nothing to worry about. You just need to give it more time to become regular again. That could be anywhere from a couple of weeks to a couple of months.
