Yep and I will not repeat it. I just went back to yasmin. The hormones in Lybrel simply weren't strong enough for my body. I had spotting that actually got worse as time went on. I started bleeding after intercourse which also started as spotting and got worse. It reached the point a few days ago that I would just have random large amounts of blood. No blood, feel fine, go do something, feel a sudden large amount of liquid coming out, went to the bathroom, and I've got enough blood running out of me to soak through a heavy tampon or probably pool on top of a heavy pad. Pushed it all out, wiped clean, put a pad in my underwear, and all I find an hour later is a few spots. Apparently if the hormones aren't working strong enough they can still allow some build up of the lining of the uterus but it's not very stable. It comes out with any force at all which includes uterine contractions from sex, exercise, or even pushing during a bowel movement. Bleeding is an very high side effect from Lybrel, seasonique, and seasonale since all use the same hormone. Apparently for most that stops after 6months and after year for nearly all. A majority stop taking it before then for similar experiences to what I had. I also keep having acne show up which only usually happens when I start or stop pills or around my period when I'm not on pills. It get really bad and I immediately start bleeding if I forget a single lybrel pill. On yasmin all acne went away and it would take 3 days of not taking any before I'd start bleeding.
In theory lybrel is a good idea and if it works for you would probably be great but it doen't work for a lot of people. If you want to try it be prepared to deal with side effects like spotting to occasional moderate bleeding for at least a few months.
