Default Simple, silly placebo question

To start off with, I realize that the entire purpose and concept of placebo pills are to provide no active treatment/medication but keep you in the habit of taking a pill every day.

That being said, this month I decided to not take the 4 iron placebos (I'm on loestrin 24 Fe) because I was afraid they may have been exacerbating GI problems I tend to have when my period starts (sorry if that's TMI!!) - I didn't start my next pack early, I have just not been taking any pills for 4 days. I'm not worried about getting out of the habit of taking them the rest of the month, it's pretty set in my routine.

I just want reassurance that yes, this definitely isn't going to affect the birth control for the rest of the month. The logical part of me says obviously, I should be fine, but the part of me that doesn't want anything to happen no matter what still for some reason needs reassuring!

I never take the placebo pills. I just throw them away. I've done it for years.
