    Spotting from Tri Cyclen Lo

I am experiencing spotting and nausea from taking this pill although i have missed some and have had to take two the next day. i take it around the same time every day but never the exact same time. my boyfriend has had some unpleasent surprises when we have sex (spotting) and its abusing my sex life! i do like the pills because i dont experience bad mood swings and have shorter periods but I have only been taking this pill for about 2 months so i'm wondering if the spotting will go away?

is there a birthcontrol that does NOT have spotting as a side effect???

It's not the birth control that is giving you the spotting effects, it's the "missing" the pills, then taking two, your body is totally confused as to what it is mean't to do, so it creates some blood to ensure your not pregnant.

Please give this a go.. Place the pill packet somewhere you venture every single day when you wake up.. By the toothbrush for instance, or coffee cup, doesn't matter, somewhere.

It's not healthy to continually take 2 pills, and continually miss your pills.

Yeah you're gonna get side effects like this every time you don't use a birth control as it's meant to be used.

If you have a hard time remembering to take pills, consider the NuvaRing or IUD...

The spotting will go away much faster if you took your pill at the SAME time EVERY day. set an alarm on your cell phone and keep your b/c in your purse if you take it later in the day. I always set my alarm for 6 am (as I go to school) to get up and take it and if I had the day off I'd simply go back to bed! :-) atleast I knew my body was on a set schedule with the birth control hormones.

I recently gave up the pill for an IUD now and it's a no brainer...now I don't have to concern myself with the "am I protected?" issue unless it happens to fall out lol
