If weight gain is one of the side effects you happen to suffer from, I don't know, I think it might be best to switch to a different brand... OR try a non-hormonal option like the copper IUD.
so i went from the shot to the pill, and the shot makes you gain sooo much weight.
i've gained 20 lbs already (over the course of six months) and i work out constantly and watch what i eat. how much longer till i work this off?!?!?!

It sounds to me like this is something you should maybe discuss with your doctor. Weight gain is a potential side effect of ALL types of birth control, but there are some methods that have less of a side effect than others. It sounds like you are doing everything you can to minimize this weight gain, so I think that discussing it with your doc would be your best bet.

sadly the shot makes alot of women gain weight. I had a close friend that gained about 100lb after she began getting the shot. Difference between you and her is you work out. Up your work out if possible. If that doesn't help then staying of the shot is prob better for you. I know when I took the pill, I lost weight. It just depends on your body. I've lost 40lb in 2 months before just by eating right and working out. I used to bike for 5 miles, then walk for 2 everyday. the weight just fell off.
