I just started nuvaring a few days ago and followed the directions correctly about inserting it. The back part is hooked over my cervix but it still hangs right at my entrance and sometimes pokes out a little. I've tried using a tampon applicator to push it further in but it just won't go. Does anyone have any advice? I used to be on the pill but switched because the estrogen amount was making me crazy(it had 20mg where nuvaring only has 15)
Most women can’t feel Nuvaring once it’s in place.
Once inserted, NuvaRing will mould to your body and your muscles should keep it in place. If you do feel discomfort, NuvaRing is probably not fully inserted.
In that case, just use your finger to gently push itfarther in. There is no danger of NuvaRingbeing pushed too far up or getting lost in your body. The cervix (the narrow, lower end of the uterus) will block itfrom going any farther.
When inserting it, squat and push both sides together and push it up in...
