Your body may just needs time to adjust. The 'period' you are experiencing may just be spotting which goes away in a while. I wouldnt recommend skipping your period especially if you have just starting taking bc.

Lifes not about how many breaths you take its about how many moments take your breath away!
Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss it you will land among the stars
5 days later and still regular period flow.. im so confused...
Your body has to get in tune with the pills before you will avoid the random bleeding and can try thing like skipping your period. If you try it now you'll just have breakthrough bleeding. You need to give your body at least 2 packs preferably 3 before seeing if the pills will work for you or not. It is possible they won't. I bled constantly on lybrel. The hormone just wasn't enough and my uterine lining would start to come out with any type of physical trauma or stress. I had increasing amounts of bleeding after sex. Just because one pill doesn't work though doesn't mean another won't. Sometimes you have to try several. I've taken plenty that didn't work and had to deal with the excessive or random bleeding. So far I've done well on yasmin and then the past 2 weeks I've had a nuva ring in and after some irritation in my vagina the first day everything is going fine. You just have to be patient when testing birth control and finding the right one.
