I've been on OE for over 4 years and just last month have stopped using it. I started my period November 22-28. I'm assuming my period should have started by December 26th, but nothing has happened yet. Also, just a few days ago I've been feeling nauseated, much more sensitive to smells, and hardly eating (due to the nausea). Are these symptoms normal after getting off birth control or is it possible I may be pregnant?
On December 25th and 26th, I noticed light spotting of a brownish and at times light pink color. Since I'm lost on this whole subject, I did some research and found out that may be a sign of implantation bleeding. I don't know if I'm just looking into this too much. I'm waiting at least a week before taking a pregnancy test, but I wanted to check to see if anyone had similiar symptoms.
Thanks!
There have been so many threads here with the exact same concern, and yes it's completely normal for your cycle to take a while to return to normal. It took mine several months, and that seems to be the norm for a lot of women.
Of course, if you've had unprotected sex, that's always cause for some concern, but simply a delayed period at this point isn't enough of an indication.
Do use some other method of birth control though if you don't want any surprises.
