I just started taking Nordette last month because I was at my wits' end with bad PMS symptoms, and I also wanted to skip periods during the next few months due to an extremely busy and stressful work schedule.
Now, the problem is that I started in the middle of my cycle (most likely after ovulation had occured). As contraception isn't an issue, I didn't think it'd matter.
However, I recently had two free weeks starting last week (I'd been taking the pill for about 14 days or so). So I stopped taking it, figured I'd reset my cycle and everything so I could get a clean start. However, it's been a week and there's been no withdrawal bleeding. My real period was also supposed to have come a few days ago.
Not sure what I should do now. Since it's already been 7 pill-free days, I suppose I could start the next pack despite the lack of bleeding? Or should I still wait? As I mentioned before, contraception is not an issue, but I really don't want to be getting abnormal bleeding or other annoying stuff starting the week after next when work resumes.
Thanks.
Starting and stopping, starting and stopping, starting and stopping... Your body is going to get all wonky. Your body takes time to adjust to the difference in hormones.
I'd start the back tomorrow (Sunday) and continue taking it regularly for a while.
