Hi all. I had a question for anyone with diseases and birth control.. At 16 I was dignoised with Factor 5 Leiden. It's a blood clotting disorder. I am not able to use hormoanal birth control. For the last year and a half I've relied on condom use and spericidal gel. Luckily all's been great.Which is a good method and very reliabe for us. I was just thinking that I might want to switch to the copper IUD sometime in the near future. I wondered if anyone had the disease as me and had one put in? If so, if they had any problems? I wondered if anyone out there has the same condition as me. if so I'd like to hear from them. If they have the disease and also if they've had the copper IUD inserted and be just as successful as regular condom usage. I'd like to know more about the copper IUD and see if it was compatiable with a blood disease like mine. Thanks all in advance.
