    Default Help.. Can't stop crying

I have been taking Yaz for six months now and two weeks ago I started feeling severely depressed. I skipped classes, overanalyzed everything, and then yesterday and today I just can't stop crying and it is really freaking my boyfriend out. Not to mention we had an argument last night and everything that came out of my mouth was just irrational. And I think I hurt him (I can't always tell because he's macho guy) and today he is just really annoyed with me so I'm trying to give him some space... It just really hurts because I feel like I need him right now but from the signals he's given me, he really wants to keep some distance at this time... I just want to stop crying. Snot is really annoying

You should really talk to your doctor if you're experiencing emotions like this, its not healthy.

Any symptoms like this sound like it's time to talk to a doctor and see if it is indeed the Yaz or something else. I don't know if it's possible to be fine on a pill for a long time and then suddenly be not ok, but I guess bodies can change like that hormonally. I would not, however, go off the Yaz without telling your doctor first and discussing what other methods you could use. When you go off your pill, your chance of pregnancy protection goes down, not to mention stopping 'cold turkey' could potentially reek havoc on your system.

Anytime you suspect a medication is giving you emotional problems stop taking it immediately and call your doctor. I had a bad problem with this when my doctor prescribed librium to me and I started having aggressive outbursts. Luckily I caught it within 8 days and once I was off it was fine. If it's not the meds you can always restart them and wait a bit before you have sex again. Your mental health is more important than your sex life and you can always do other stuff if it comes down to it. Your age might play a part in your hormone balance too. If you are at a critical age where your hormones change such as 18 when you reach your adult hieght or 24 when your breast reach full size your hormones change.
