Hi,
I went off the pill thinking my husband and i wanted to get pregnant. After being on the pill for 10 years I went off and got my period 3 months later (thinking it might take longer) and now I am regular again. We have decided that we now want to wait about another year before getting pregnant, therefore I want to go back on the pill.
Is it bad to go off and then back on after only 6 months off? Has anyone does this and then gone off again without it affecting their cycle or ability to get pregnant later on? THanks!
Used to be that it was recommended to off the pill every 6 - 10 years, until you has at least 3 regular periods. Then you could go back on it. I don't know if medical thinking still recommends this but women did it for a long time without any problem.
