I personally didnt know that they would interact. The only thing that interacts is antibiotics as I asked my docs when they gave me antifungals and they are like they are ok and no back up method is needed.
Anyone know if these interact? I know that certain ones do,(such as Griseofulvin- taken orally, the ones you take internally (for yeast infections and such) or for yeast infections (With vaginal cream/tablets) but I'm not sure about topical ones. I am prone to athlete's foot and it came back on Thursday night. I'm on the placebo's of my birth control pills now, but I took and still am taking, Lotromin AF (Clotrimazole) (over the counter athlete's foot medicine) to help cause cracking feet suck! It's comes up NOW, when it's finally warm out to wear sandals. *sigh*
I know the golden rule of: "When in doubt, use condoms as well" but I was just wondering if anyone knew if topical antifungals would mess with the pill's efficiency.
Thanks!

If we could live without passion maybe we'd know some kind of peace... but we would be hollow... Empty rooms shuttered and dank. Without passion we'd be truly dead.” -Joss Whedon

I've never heard of this. Looks like I've got some research to do. I used topical Lotrimin many times while on BC and it never caused my BC to fail, or I should say, I never got pregnant from it if it did.
