Thread: Possibly pregnant after skipping period on pill?

I've been on the pill (yaz) for 4 months. Last month i went away and decided to skip my period. My bf and I had sex on holidays but we used condoms as well. Last week i was taking my final week of active pills and i went out and had a little upset stomach from alcohol and a mixture of cheesy chips. I take my pill between 5.45-6.45 every night, usually at 6pm on the dot. Around 11-30 i was starting to feel and decided to make myself sick so i didnt have to go home, but i only vomited a little tiny bit and it appeared to be just cheese chips, not even any of my red drink alcohol. The next day my boyfriend and i had unprotected sex for a reason i dont even know - he surprised me. This was almost a week ago and im on what is meant to be day 2 of my bleed but im concerned its just spotting and not an actual period has im hardly bleeding at all - i cant tell if its spotting because i wear tampons but, if i decided to be gross and unhygienic, i could probably get away with using 1 regular tampon for 24hours..and that might not even by full.

I read that if i had taken my pills regularly for 1-2 weeks and something like this happens i should still be protected but im really concerned that i'll wake up tomorrow not bleeding at all and a baby on the way =[

If you have taken your pills regularly you should be ok. As for the vomiting, there is a rule of about 2 hours. Since 5 hours elapsed between taking your pill and the vomit episode you should be fine. In the meantime, if you want to ease your mind, one missed pill is not going to decrease the efficiency too much, but I think it was already absorbed into your bloodstream. Either way, if you want to take a hpt you can about 3 weeks after the episode without a condom.

You're so lucky though with Yaz bleeding on the second day, I usually feel cramps but don't bleed till the 4th pill evening and wind up going through the first week of the actives. Freaks me out every time! Guess it just takes longer for the hormone level to drop for me.
