i stopped taking hormonal birth control approximately 3 weeks ago after 6 years on the pill. i had sex today with my partner using the diaphragm for the first time. it was inserted correctly to the best of my knowledge, but i'm just very wary of its effectiveness in general. he wore a condom, but it broke after only about 2 minutes. he did not cum inside of me. my question is, do you think i'll be safe from pregnancy? should i take any precautions now?

I used one for several years and was pretty active sexually. Never had a problem. You've got a barrier and a spermicide, can't imagie why you want to add a condom to all that.
