my doctor and i have agreed when my swabs come back as some of you may know, i am on implanon, and my doctor has said once test results are back we are go to remove YAY

So i am getting the Mirena Coil,
he says it will stop my periods and cramping. Just wondering what to expect, the procedure not worried, pushed four babies out, so meh. lol

Just the immediate aftershocks that go through. Cramping? can your partner feel it?

I feel like such a baby. My doctor has put off me getting my tubes tied as he thinks i need another six months to decide.

    soooo yeahh thanks in advance

Hi, I had a coil fitted 7 weeks ago and thankfully my doctor was very specific in what to expect in the way of side effects. I experienced cramping, headache and nausea for a few hours after having it put in. The first 5 weeks consisted of spotting and a couple of weeks of heavy bleeding. I don't know if it is because I have never used a hormonal contraceptive before or not but I did have some pretty depressing mood swings. Apparently all of this is quite common and can last up to 12 weeks. In my case the side effects have stopped in the last 2 weeks, fingers crossed it is smooth sailing from now on.

I know what you mean about dying for fun lol. I was ready to have the coil removed for that reason but am glad I hung in there. Good luck with it.
