Quite concerned - i took the morning after pill 7 days after my last period as a pre-caution..... the condom split 6 days after i took the morning after pill.... have done my homework and i was definitely not in my safe period.... is there a possibility that i may be pregnant or is the morning after pill effective until my next period as i was bleeding quite heavy from the morning after pill and still am???

    Hi,
I had a similar issue. I took the morning after pill 2 days after the condom split and I got my period 2 weeks later...2 weeks after that I had bleeding and very bad cramping, went to the ER in pain and found out I had a tubal pregnancy and had to be given a chemotheraphy drug to dissolve the everything since I could not carry the tubal pregnancy to term. I did not even know at all. My doctor told me the morning after pill prevents a fertilized egg from attaching to your uterus and that's what happened with me,...I will never take it again but I would suggest you call your GYN and make an appointment to make sure everything is ok....
