By starting and stopping the pill, no matter how long, will cause your period and/or ovulation to be out of wack. So, it is really anybody's guess. Give yourself a month or two to get back on any regular cycle.
Hi Ladies,
I am so glad that I found this forum online![]()
I was prescribed a low dose birth control pill and started taking it on June 6th (my last period started on May 29th). It was making me feel very nauseous almost right away so I decided to stop after the first week, we did wait a week to have sex even though my husband and I aren't "preventing pregnancy". I decided to try the pill out as I have had a couple years of very rough cycles and needed some relief.
By taking the pill for only one week, would this delay ovulation and my period? I was "due" to ovulate between the 8th - 13th of June but was on the pill at that time.
Thanks for all of your help ladies! And I hope my question isn't too scattered.

Thanks so much for the prompt reply :-) I have noticed a clear and sometimes thite egg white consistency discharge which typically signifies ovulation I think ... but that has only been in the last few days
So, yeah, you could very well be ovulating. Obviously a little later than you had planned, probably due to the week on the pill. So, if you are trying, have fun, if not, use protection. At least until you cycle regulates itself again.

We aren't avoiding that's for sure, so maybe I'll have a little chat with the hubby and see if he's up for it ha-ha. Thanks again!
