Hi, heres a brief history...I had essure done 2+ yrs ago. I was 26 and had 3 children. It took FOREVER for it to work completely. 13months. I do have to admit the reasoning for having the procedure done was because I didnt want any more babies with my bf at the time. I got pregnant w/ the last 2 while on birth control and I knew it wasnt working between us so i wanted to make sure it wouldnt happen again. I am no longer with the father of my children and have met a great guy (the love of my life) we're getting at the end of this year. Thing is we are content with our little family but he does want to try to have a baby of his own. we want to know if we have options on getting pregnant even after essure. Does anyone know where I should start to get more info if this isnt even an possible? Thank you.

I am shocked in a way that any Doctor would perform this on a 26 year old, who is not married, as who knows what the future holds.

In any event, many ladies have got pregnant after having the Essure proceedure, it's not full proof..

I'd seek a Doctor's opinion on removing it to start with.. and then try and keep trying...

I don't believe anyone can answer whether or not you will conceive, rather, it is possible even with the essure still in place for some.

Good luck with your pending marriage it's nice to know you have someone in your life now that your happy with...

I feel your pain. I'm 27 now and really want to be able to have a child with my future husband. I had the essure procedure done impusively when I was 23. I have two wonderful little boys but I want more. I can't believe I did this to myself or that my doctor let me! Unfortunately, I seem to be one of the cases where essure actually worked. lucky me... There are a couple of places that do an essure reversal, though this is still a new procedure. One place is Lakeshore Tubal Reversal (Tubal Ligation Reversal | Lakeshore Tubal Reversal Center). It's pricey though. We've started saving up. Maybe in a couple more years I'll be able to afford it, then the stress of hopeing we get pregnant. Fun times.
