Thread: Co-CYPRINDIOL AND MICROGYNON

Hi,
Ive been on the pill for about 5 months now, the first pill I tried was Dianette and it gave me really heavy and painful periods so i switched to Microgynon, ive just finished my first lot so I went to the dr to renew my prescription today, i didnt realise while I was there but she has prescribed me Co-Cyprindiol.
Its not the same box as the mycrogynon that ive just been taking.
Can anyone tell me if Co-Cyprindiol is just another name for Mycrogynon?

Please note that Co-cyprindiol is not another name for Mycrogynon. It is a blend of medicines which happens to be the two main ingrediets in the Dianette tablets. You should definitely consult your doctor again to ensure she prescribed the accurate medication for you, given your experience with Dianette tablets.
