Hi,I'm 25 and want to go on some for of birth control, for the purpose of birth control and, more importantly, to help regulate my hormones. I still get pimple breakouts, untimely periods, migranes, naseua and BAD pms.

Could you girls please give me some feedback on what worked for you? I've tried Triphasil, but it made me look, feel and even smell different! not nice.

    Tahnx

Talk to your doctor. I was put on birth control 6 months after my first period because of irregularity and painful cramps and have changed pills about every 2 years since then because it seems my body adapts and the medication does not work. So it is very different for each woman. Although i personally like yasmin, it helped with my mood swings and acne.

With most BC it's a case of giving it a go & seeing what happens cos we're all different. Am concerned that u've had migraines, did you have them before the pill? if they are true migraines you should stay clear of any estrogen containing BC due to a possible increased risk ofcerebral problems; headaces may mean you just need to switch brand, try one containing the progestogen desogestrel (in Uk would be Marvelon) as side effects are repotadly a bit less( ?!).

i had the mireana in and just recently takin out. but they only give that to people who have had a child. well in my experience the pill worked but i hated having to remember takin it every night so now im giving the nuvea ring a try. and so far i like it. its simple and u dont have to keep messing with it.

Look into the IUD Paraguard - no hormones involved. Any form of birth control (using synthetic hormones) are very dangerous to your health. Trust me I know from being on them for 20 years. Oral contraceptives deplete your body of minerals and vitamins - which over time causes depression and many other less than desirable symptoms, put you at an extreme risk for breast cancer, gallbladder disease, liver disease, PERMANENT damage to your libido. This is a small list....THE DRUG COMPANIES ARE POISONING US!! All in the name of the almighty dollar!! No one has stopped them...but we ladies do have choices. Over 12Million ladies are taking the BCP/Patch/Shots for all sorts of reasons and I am telling you you can choose natural methods instead of putting these toxic, carcinogenic pollutants in your body. It is not natural to suppress ovulation - it takes away from your womanly essence and natural being. Not to mention it comes at a very high price your health. All the little ailments you have, take a closer look and you might find out the truth! High cholesterol? thyroid problems? Fatigue? Depression? Moodiness? Digestive problems? Lack of Libido? Weight Loss/Gain? Larger breasts? Migraines? Gallbladder Disorder? Yeast overgrowth and infection? Should I keep going?

I have been off BC for 1 year and 3 months and I have had an uphill journey with my health due to taking the BCP for all those years. I will never take that garbage again and I pray that more women will become aware of the poison they are putting in their bodies.

Best wishes to all you ladies that are suffering. I encourage you to take control of your health and your body!! Peace~

I'm on Ortho Novum 7/7/7. I like it. Light periods, seriously most times I don't need more than a pantiliner.

I was on Ortho Novum 1/35 for about a year because I had different insurance and I did not like it. Basically it was more hormones, gave me sore boobs the week before my period.
