I don't think I'd feel totally confident in the pills unless I knew I was taking them 100% correctly, which it doesn't sound like you are. Is there some reason you're not taking the pills as directed on the pack?
Hello all.
I'm Udita Sengupta, 23 years old. Last month i used one pack of oral contraceptive & this month i had my menstrual cycle on 28th, but i didn't take any oral contraceptive on the first date of my period. Now after two days on 30th July i've started another pack of my oral contraceptive while i'm still having my period. Here i'm looking forward for your assistance & i want you to advice me if taking an oral contraceptive at this time will be effective or not.
It would be a kind help if you lend me your hand to clear all my doubts. Will be eagerly waiting for your help.
Thanking you
Udita Sengupta

I can only offer a bit of help from what I know about the pill that my girlfriend is on, she is on Yaz.
It is a 28 day pill. It contains 4 placebo's. You are meant to have your period (or withdrawal bleeding as they refered to it) on day 2 or 3 of taking the pacebo's and you may still be bleeding by the time you start a new pack (that would be starting on the combination pill and not a placebo).
So from what I can understand is that you were on your period and on the placebo and did not bother taking the placebo?
You are still on your period and have started a new pack. From what I know and can understand that is fine and how it is meant to happen.
Although I would rather wait for a few other opinions.
