When we opted for permanent birth control, my doctor suggested Essure. First we scheduled procedure in her office, but I couldn't take pain without anesthesia. so we rescheduled it ... planned to be done in a surgery room under general anesthesia. On the day of surgery, after I gained my conscious I was told that procedure was not done because my uterus is too small ??!!!. I was very disappointed. She did not mention even once about such possibility. Does anyone else had this or similar situation?. or did your OB do any screening to check if Essure is right for you?
