hi, i've been taking YAZ for about half a year

i am concerned that it isn't working because i started a 'period' in the second week...it is lighter than a regular period, but the texture is really weird...it's dryer when it comes out... ok that's gross...

anywho, i was just wondering if anyone is on Yaz and experiencing this mysterious period halfway into a cycle...

and if i am trying to deal with this...should i tell my guy that we need to wait until it's all back to normal?! i don't want to quarantine my vagina, but i suppose it's possible...it's super lame because we are supposed to have the house to ourselves this weekend...

    reply asap porfavor! ~gracias!

I had the same thing. Kind of a thicker discharge that was red in color right? Yeah, they call that breakthrough bleeding. My doctor said that if it persists for more than initial three months let him know, it's not a big deal but it can be really annoying. But since you've been taking it for six months, I'm assuming thats what you mean by half a year, you should talk to your doctor about it. He/she will more than likely say it's no big deal, it sucks, but no big deal.
