I was told by my doctor that since I take birth control I do not ovulate.
But I am.
I was wondering if this is normal or something I should be worried about?
With some of the lower-dose pills, ovulation probably happens sometimes. While the pill mainly works by suppressing ovulation, it also thickens the cervical mucus so sperm have a hard time getting into the uterus, and it changes the uterine lining so a fertilized egg has trouble implanting.
How do you know you're ovulating? Do you have monthly ovulation pain?
