Hi I've been on birth control pills for the past year and a half if not longer also have never missed a pill and taken at the same time everyday. my husband and I had unprotected sex which we always do but usually I'm still taking my active white pills and this time it was when I took my first colored pill he did pull out but still think there may have been some get in which I know pulling out you have to face it but was wanting to know should I worry about being pregnant and how soon can. Take a test I am seriously freaking out about the thought but will understand please alittle help and advice will help me out tons. Thanks

Coloured pills are sugar pills, you take them so that you don't forget to take the pill (white ones), it's an on-going process so you don't forget..

Coloured pills, are at the end of the 3rd week and usually whilst taking them you get your periods...

To get pregnant when your due to have your period is very un-likely if not impossible....

If your worried, do a pregnancy test in a weeks time, but the chances are almost nil

Ok so since I am on the colored pills and should be starting my period, then pregnancy is harder to accomplish, also when i am starting the week of my period i usually dont start until say thursday or friday then when tuesday comes around i start taking my white ones again. so I dont really need to worry since its hard to get pregnant while in the make of the period cycle? I'm guessings its because the eggs are leaving the body or are in the process of make there way?

If you were taking them exactly as prescribed as in on time never missing a pill then you will always have a constant level of protection even if you take the sugar pills. Taking the placebo sugar pills do not mean you are not protected, they just make sure the routine of taking a pill everyday is always kept up.

I'm guessings its because the eggs are leaving the body or are in the process of make there way?
In extremely layman terms yes. It is obviously far more complex than that but the jest of it is that the egg is no longer in its absolute 'prime' therefore making it more difficult to become pregnant...ovulation would be in its prime.

Birth control pills are 99% effective (when taken properly) I was on pills for 7yrs, and off course in a commited relationship so we were have unprotected sex. You are completly fine! Pregnancy is so unlikely when you are on the pill.
