Thread: bad IUD experience

Has anyone had their doctor be unsuccessful in inserting an IUD?

i had a mirena for 5 years
no problem
right before getting it out to get a new one the strings had gone up inside
had to go to the hospital under a general to get it out and had the new one put in
not really a biggie just a big production
had the new one in
went for the ultrasound (insist on this!)
found it it wasnt in place
thank god i had a good dr who replaced it the same day with a new one
ultrasound next week to make sure this one is in place
have it put in under the general was no big deal... getting it put in in the office hurt a bit but he put some freezing in to help with the pain
had cramps that day and a bit of bleeding but nothing i couldnt handle
i think they are awesome! cant have the pill so next best option
