No one wants to give a little feedback?
Soo I just recently went to my doctor for what I figured was a yeast infection (which it was). Before I left, I told her I was wanting to switch Birth Controls because I'm having a hard time loosing weight while on the pill. She asked what pill I was taking and I told her it was called Necon. She left while I got dressed after being examined and came back in and told me she lowered the dosage. She said I was on a 1/35 dosage and with the new pill (which is called Alese) it's a 1/20 dosage. She said the side effects are still the same but I may have more luck with loosing weight. She told me it was still 99.9% effective like my other pill and all that.
My question is, I start them next Monday (not this coming monday, but the monday after) and my fiance and I both said we wanted to wait for my period to end (which it starts this week) before having sex again since I just got done with this yeast infection and wanted to allow myself to heal. If we have sex say on the Monday I start my new pills, I will still be protected the same as I am now right? Or should I maybe wait a day or so?
I just wanted to ask and make sure.

If you take them at the same time you would have taken the others, I don't see why you wouldn't be protected. If you're really worried about it you could use condoms for a week.
Condoms are a no go for me, I'm allergic to the latex.
I won't be changing the time I take them, I always take them right as my fiance leaves at night which is at 9:50 so I don't see why a change in pills would do that. Maybe we wait a day or two before we do anything, just to be safe.
Thanks Sourpuss.
I'm alergic to latex and have no trouble finding latex free ones. They are an option.

I have yet to find a latex free condom around here.
My local grocery sells them, the Walgreens should have them, any adult store.
If you wouldn't be protected your doctor would have said so and given you instructions.

I live in a super tiny town so we don't have walgreens or any sort of adult store near. The biggest city to me is 2 1/2 hours away.
I'm sure she would've told me if I wouldn't be protected like you said but i'm still gonna give it a day or so I think, just so my body can get used to the pill and stuff like that. Thanks for the replies.
