Exclamation Breakthrough bleeding on OTCL? HELP!

Ok, so, I started Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo exactly 2 weeks ago on the first Sunday of my period. First week was great, no side effects, and then when I started taking the light blue pills on the second week, I started spotting on Tuesday. It's continued to get heavier and heavier. Today the flow is like the first day of my period; very heavy. So, I'm wondering when this'll let up? I've been doing a lot of research, and nothing conclusive has really come my way besides that the first 3 months are the most common to have bleeding, and then after that if it persists you should see a doctor.
So, can any of you who have or is currently on Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo give me some advice, and tell me how long the bleeding lasted for you? I'd really appreciate it.

    Thanks!

I am currently on the same pill. I am in the green sugar pill sections and am having a very different period than usual, its very light. but on your issue if you are concerned see your doctor. I had been fooling around with my boyfriend during the second week of the pill, around the same time you are having your breakthrough bleeding, and I bled, but I spotted and it was embarassing because it was while he was fingering me! SOOOO embarassing! but happens right? For me, that only lasted 10 minutes, 20 tops and then it went away. I havent had spotting since then until I got my period on Tuesday.

From what I have been reading in the forums here if it lasts more than four days consult your doctor.

I have also expierenced all of my same period side effects: tender breasts, cramps and headaches. Though I've gotten an extra headache that I dont usually get. I usually only get one. But everyone is different.

I would call your doctor and speak with the receptionist who picks up the phone, maybe you dont have to go in for a visit if she tells you something good. But if you are that worried go for a visit. Better to hear it from your doctor.
