I am on ortho-tri-cyclen LO. Its my first month that I am on it.
I understand that I am supposed to have shorter lighter periods.

I apologize in advance for the detail that I am about to go into.
When I got my period this month, it was darker than usual and looked like I spotted. That was Tuesday.
Wednesday morning when I went to the bathroom it was very red, like normal, and a normal amount came out when I peed in the toilet. But since yesterday morning its been very dark, nothing comes out in the toilet when I pee and my only discription of it is my period is like my last two days of my "normal" period, before I started taking the pill, when it was cleaning out my system so to speak. Its like this is my new normal.

Sorry if I sound like I worry a lot, its because I do and since I have never been on the pill or any other form of female birth control I am wondering if anyone else has had a period like this.

Will it change over time of the pill? Is this my new normal? Will I get my old normal period is a few months? just lighter?

I used to wear the "thicker" pads, one thick pad for a total of 5-7 hours at work, because I do not have a job where I can get away on a regular basis to use the restroom to change my cotex. So I would change when I got home and I used to have a mess in the toilet, and a heavy one.

Now I wear the ultra thins and its like I dont have a mess in the toilet or on the pad and I can tell you if I wore one all day for a total of 12 hours it wouldnt even look like a thick pad usually does.

I mean dont get me wrong I'm not complaining if this will be normal, lighter periods are a wonderful thing. I just want to know if this is normal.
