Hi everyone! I've had my IUD for about a month and a half (Paragard). About a week ago I got this really weird spasm/twitch sensation inside of my vagina. (not sure if it was uterus or cervix or something else) It came and went all day, then stopped. Now today again it has started.

The spasms themselves aren't painful, just very annoying. But I notice after they subside I get very sore, kind of like cramps. Also around the day these started my boyfriend and I had sex and it was VERY painful. My period isn't due again for another month or so. My IUD is in place (got ultrasounds about 3 weeks ago to make sure) and other than this I haven't had many problems.

I called my doctor to speak with the nurse but she's almost always busy. I also have a check-up appt in 2 weeks but I figured I'd see if anyone else had the same experience and what it could possibly be.

Just a background I'm 20 years old, monogamous relationship and have been pregnant once but did not carry to term.
