my girlfriend is on birth control, but recently she skipped the row that's called the reminder pill ? just so she doesn't get her period. She also forgot to take her pill a month ago and took for at once, but since then has been taken the pill on a regular basis. We had sex last week and she's been taking the pill constantly but only skipped her reminder pills, can she be pregnant ? she puked the other morning out of no where so we've been kinda scared and aren't sure yet ? can someone help ?

First - go to the store (even places like Dollar General carry them) and get a pregnancy test.

Second - if your gf can't remember to take the pill EVERY single day, then you two need to discuss some different birth control options. If she misses more than two pills, she is no longer protected. Taking 4 at one time will NOT give protection. She should not be "skipping" a weeks worth of pills in order to not have a period. There are bc pills that are specifically for women who want to eliminate their periods. But when you're not on one of those, skipping an entire week of pills to miss a period means you are NOT protected.

If she's going to take the pill, she must take it every single day (preferably around the same time of day). She should never skip a pill. But in the event she misses one day, the next day she should take two. If she misses two days, she will need to start a new pack and use extra protection until her next cycle.

So yes, she could be pregnant. Not because she threw up....but because you guys are playing russian roullette. Go get a test, get it figured out, and then take some responsibility for the birth control yourself and ask her before EVERY time "have you taken your pill today?" If you can't trust her to take it like she's supposed to, I would highly suggest using condoms.

    Good luck.
