    Hello Ladies,
I have been on Micronor for almost a year and I have to say I hate it. I break out I gain weight and always have headaches. I was on tri cycln then tri cycln lo but my dr put me on micronor because I have elevated blood pressure. Being on micronor I have had no periods at all. Just light spotting every 2 weeks and now I dont even have that. I have taken literally hundereds of prenancy tests and all are false. I am a university student so a child is not in the plan right now. I have re searched as was told by my dr that not having a period on this pill is normal!!...IS IT? If you dont have a period how do you know your not pregnant? I use a condom all the time but they are not 100%. So I end up being paranoid and spending money on pregnancy tests. Thank goodness though my school gives them out for free. I also like to be regualr and have a period I think its healthy for the body. My dr put me on tri cyclin lo and it says you shouldnt be taking it with sever high blood pressure. I dont know or think mine is sever because it ranges from week to week. I am very confussed on everything and just need some guidness. Is it normal to not have a period on micronor? Could Im be pregnant? I just need some HELP

Okay slow down...take a deep breath. If your doctor says it is normal not to get your period, then believe. Next, you're on birth control which is 99.9% effective and a condom that is 98% effective...I don't think you have to worry about pregnancy. You are being very safe and responsible.

I think if you want to be regular, you need to get in touch with your doctor and try a different pill. There are hundreds of pills out there and you shouldn't feel limited to just the micronor or tri cyclen. If the doctor doesn't help you like you need it, see a different one.
